WISTER — The girls and boys games had the same results as Howe won both ends of the double dip against Wister, but how they got their victories were polar opposites.
The Lady Lions saw Wister level the score at 37-all, but then went into the ol' Carolina four-corner offense and played keep away from Wister and captured the game by the score of 47-42 as they won the game at the free-throw line down the stretch.
The Lions, however, ran two complete set of players at the Wildcats. Finally, the wear and tear paid dividends in the fourth quarter as they pulled away to win the game by the score of 74-46.
