I bet you all thought I had disappeared

It has been a while since I last wrote, and the sports world just keeps a rolling.
The Poteau boys and girls had a tough weeked in the Class 4A Regional Tournament in Fort Gibson as their seasons ended sooner than hoped.
The Poteau Pirates wrestling team finished ninth in the Class 4A State Tournament. Two-time defending state champion Tyler Tustin had a chance to three-peat, but he lost by two points in the finals.
With most all the basketballs put away and the wrestling singlets washed and stored away, the spring season sports are on the front burner. Poteau's first baseball game will be this afternooin against the Muldrow Bulldogs. The Pirates could be a sleeper in Class 4A.
The Poteau High School soccer teams will open the 2013 seasons by taking part in the Greenwood (Ark.) Tournament on Saturday in three locations — Van Buren, Fort Smith Northside and Greenwood high schools. Each team will play three games.
