Idabel Warriors have Spiro's attention come Friday night

October 3, 2013

On Sept. 23, 2011, the Spiro Bulldogs went to Idabel and were stunned by the homestanding Warriors 23-6. The same two teams will meet at the same site at 7:30 p.m. Friday when the ’Dogs (3-1, 1-0 in District 3A-8) visit the Warriors (0-4, 0-1).
“They have a lot of kids with a lot of talent,” Spiro coach Chris Bunch said. “They have a lot of team speed. They scare me to be honest. We're expecting a dogfight. It's a long trip down there. We're playing at their place. It's homecoming. They're trying to get them fired up. We went down there two years ago, thinking we were going to win. We didn't play well, and they ended up beating us. We can't let that happen this year.”
