It sure didn't feel like Spring Break; Next week is LeFlore County Baseball Tournament

Was it just me, or did Spring Break feel anything but spring? While covering games at the Poteau Wood Bat Festival and the Class 3A Showcase in Spiro, I felt like I was at football game it was so cold. By the way, I want to thank Spiro baseball coach Paul Croft for the heater in his team's dugout on Friday and Saturday. It helped keep my blood circulating!
However, be that as it may, Spring Break is over, and it's back to normal for the high school athletics spring seasons. It's hard to believe, but there are about eight weeks left!
County Seeding Meetings This Week
The baseball seeding meeting for the 2013 LeFlore County Tournament — which will begin Monday — will be at 10:30 this morning in Cameron — the host for this year's event, since it was Bokoshe's turn and the Tigers won't have baseball this spring due to lack of numbers.
The slow-pitch softball seeding meeting will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, but as of press time the meeting site was not known — although in all seasons since yours truly has been here it's taken place at Western Sizzlin.
Look for the stories on these meetings later on this week.
