Jack Vinson, 73, of Wister, formerly of Heavener, died Friday, March 30, in Wister. Jack was born July 17, 1938, in Stapp to Albert and Christine (Dorsey) Vinson. He was a member of Heavener First Baptist Church, a KCS Railroad retiree, Heavener High School graduate and Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Delois (Williams) Vinson; three daughters, Skyla Duncan and husband Hugh of Heavener, Jackie Ryals and husband Glyn of Tahlequah, and Michele Frederickson and husband David of Hodgen; two sons, Gene Blackwell and wife Tina of Heavener, Byron Vinson and wife Jacki of Wilburton; two sisters, Frankie Simpkins of Poteau and Lucretia Frost and husband Donald of Heavener; a brother, Cliff Vinson and wife Linda of Heavener; 12 grandchildren, Eddie, Hannah and Jessie Blackwell, Chris and Kayla Duncan, Dusty Chance and Cody Ryals, Ward and Ladd Vinson and Jake and Coy Frederickson; four nieces and two nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at First Baptist Church, Heavener, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
