James Perry “Jack” Martindale

James P. “Jack” Martindale, 89, formerly of Howe, died Feb. 8, 2012, in Houston, Texas. He was born July 5, 1922, at Kinta, to Perry L. and Madge (Ritter) Martindale. He was a retired painting contractor.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Veneice; a daughter, Marilyn Prescott; a son, Bobby Martindale; one brother and two sisters.
 Jack is survived by two sons, David and wife Karen Martindale of Houston, Jimmy Wayne and wife Jackie Martindale of Rockford, Ill; a son-in-law, Don Prescott, of  Pasadena, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Maxey Cemetery, Wister, with Rev. David Martindale officiating. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
