Janet Killian Pugh, 66, of Poteau died Friday, July 8, 2011, in Spiro.
Born Nov. 18, 1944, in Greenwood, Miss., Janet was the daughter of Sidney Ernest Killian and Hazel Marie “Sue” Killian. Janet married Curtis Pugh on Jan. 29, 1966, in Memphis, Tenn. God blessed them with more than 45 years of marriage. Janet was a faithful, godly, loving wife and mother and served diligently with her husband who was an independent, sovereign grace, landmark, missionary Baptist preacher for more than 26 years on the foreign fields of Canada and Romania.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis of the home; two daughters, Ruth Elisabeth McLellan and husband Robert of Glasgow, Scotland, and Anna Rebecca Cattemull and husband Mark of Holland, Michigan; one brother, William E. Killiam and wife Beverly of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of brother and sisters in Christ. Viewing was held Monday at Dowden Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at McAlvain/Kennedy Cemetery in Wister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home Heavener.
