Juanita (Brown) Peters, 85, of Poteau died Friday, July 27, 2012, in Poteau.
Juanita was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Bengal. Juanita was a housewife and a LeFlore County tag agent. She loved to attend Poteau Pirate football and basketball games. Juanita truly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy T. and Ida (Porter) Brown; husband, Bill Peters; brother, Guy L. Buddy Brown; sister, Wanda Austin; brother-in-law, Odie Peters; sister-in-law, Beverly Peters; Grandma and Grandpa.
Survivors include her son, Billy Gene Peters; four sisters, Anna Creamer, Ida Reed, Mary Powledge, Nancy Montoya; brother, James R. Brown; sister-in-law, Thelma Griffith.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
