Julius Gene Dugan

Julius Gene Dugan, 77 of Jenny Lind, Ark., died Thursday, June 26, 2014, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.  He was a retired industrial steel worker, member of Rose Garden Full Gospel Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by five sons, Robert Eugene Dugan Sr. of Jenny Lind, James Earl Dugan of Albany, Me., Robert Alton Cook of Napa, Calif., Ronald Andrew Cook of Vallejo, Calif., and David Wayne Metz of Bakersfield, Calif.; four daughters, Cheryl Ann Neumiller of Turlock, Calif., Lynda Joyce Babbitt of Van Buren, Ark., Julia Gayle Blackwell of Reno, Nev., and Jeannie Ilene Logan of Fort Smith; three brothers, Jurden Dugan, Sr. of Alma, Jerry Dugan of Valencia, Calif., and Jack Dugan Sr. of Spiro; one sister, Goldie Fern Kroeker of Jenny Lind; 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Rose Garden Full Gospel Church in Jenny Lind with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.  Viewing will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Pallbearers will be Jack Dugan, Sr., Jerry Dugan, Robert Dugan, Sr., James Dugan, Jason Blackwell and Aaron Parham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sebastian County Humane Society, 3800 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, AR 72904, or a charity of choice.
