Kenneth Burton Ford

Kenneth Burton Ford, 75, of Little Axe died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, in Norman. Kenneth was born April 24, 1936, in Poteau to John Burton and Edith A. (Green) Ford. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 11 years. Kenneth was a truck driver. He worked at the docks and drove trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Denver Ford and Don Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of the home; son, John Ford of McComb; three granddaughters, Nicole McCraw and Jessica McCraw of Little Axe, Tasha McCraw of McComb; brothers, Jerry A. Ford of Poteau, David Ford, Sam Ford, and Dennis Ford of Wister, Charlie Ford of Sallisaw; sisters, Lilly Fitzpatrick; Betty VanHook of Howe, Faye Rockman, Bonnie Brown of Poteau.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Seventh Day Church of God in Wister with the Rev. Lamar Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister. Pallbearers will be Jeff Ford, Maury Ford, Ross Green, Ryan Green, Aaron Brown, Clendon Brown, Jason Brown.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 5-7 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
