KIM ROSS: Don't forget the banquet

February 25, 2014

Dress — check! Nails — check! Hair — check! It's official, I am ready for the annual Poteau Chamber of Commerce Banquet that will be held Thursday night.
Just a reminder to all, tickets are $25 each but are soon to run out. Today Karen Wages, Chamber CEO, said there are only 20 tickets left. The capacity limit of 700 is sure to be met before the event.
This years theme is "Poteauopoly" and is expected to cause a lot of laughs through the night as members of the community enact the players of the classic game.
Bring your money, your appetite and your good humor and spend the night in style in Poteau.
The banquet will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center.
I for one can't wait to see this years live entertainers. Although it's a secret who is performing and exactly what they will perform, it has been guaranteed to top previous shows.
I can only wonder since previous lineups included area business men dressed as their choice nominee for Woman of the Year and participated in a fashion and talent show.
What could possibly top that?
