Lady Pirate cross country team second at ECU Invitational; Pirates finish in fourth place

ADA — The Poteau Lady Pirates cross country team was runner-up at Thursday afternoon's East Central University Meet. The Lady Pirates had 80 points, six points behind team champion Coalgate (74).
Three runners made the top 15. Deven Bond was fourth (14:31.9), Sheridan Hoyer was fifth (14:32.3) and Colleen Peterson was 12th (15:08.5). Samantha Galetka was 42nd (16:54.2), Shandee Staton was 44th (17:07.5), Tabby Waldrop was 46th (17:08.7) and Katie Piquet was 63rd (18:32.3).
In the boys' division, the Pirates were fourth with 101 points. Chandler won the team title with 80 points, followed by Ada (89 points) and Byng (99).
One Pirate made the Top 10, Nico Hall — who was fourth (18:53.8). Daniel Stacy was 20th (20:23.5), Christian Segundo was 24th (20:46.6), Bobby Graham was 32nd (21:02.6), Josh Anderson was 40th (21:43.9), Tyler White was 47th (22:04.4), Will Longenbaugh was 49th (22:09.3), Wesley Reeves was 54th (22:45.5), Hong Siu was 62nd (23:20.1), Daryl Callaway was 66th (23:52.4), Dylan Fox was 70th (24:38.8; Noah Martin was 71st (24:40.2), Matt Hinds was 81st (26:06.6), Kendell Smith was 86th (27:12.4), Bobby Elkins was 92nd (28:26.9), Jeffrey Ridner was 93rd (28:43.7), Trey Wells was 96th (29:58.8), Christian Sanjuan was 98th (30:08.8) and Daniel Delgadillo was 101st (33:11.9).
The Poteau runners will return to action next Saturday at the Poteau Pirate Invitational at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
The Heavener runners ran this morning at the Henryetta Invitational, beginning at 8 a.m. before running in next weekend's Poteau Pirate Invitational.
