Lady Vikings' defense keys win over Coffeyville; No. 11 Ravens rout Carl Albert State Vikings

Behind strong rebounding and great defense, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings improved to 5-7 overall in their 61-55 win over Coffeyville, Kan., in the final game of the first semester for the CASC women Friday night at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
A strong 40-24 second half for Coffeyville proved to be the difference for the 11th-ranked Ravens in their 67-49 win over the Carl Albert State College Vikings in the second game of Friday night's twinbill.
The CASC teams will not return to competitive action until the calendar hits 2013 as they will Jan. 7 when they entertain their archrivals from Eastern Oklahoma State College at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. The women's game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 8 p.m.
