Late runs send Eastern teams past CASC squads

WILBURTON — The Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers finished the game on a decisive 16-0 run and were 18-of-37 on 3-point baskets which proved to be the difference for them in their 98-80 win over the Carl Albert State College Vikings in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference opener Thursday night at Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse.
An 18-8 game-ending run proved to be the difference for the Lady Mountaineers in their 75-60 win over the Lady Vikings in Thursday night's first contest.
Both teams will return to action Monday night against Redlands Community College at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. The women's game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m.
