Leflore baseball pitchers combine for two no-hitters in season-openers

LEFLORE — The David Morris era got under way in grand fashion Thursday afternoon in the season openers for the new Leflore baseball coach.The Savages began the fall 2013 season with a pair of no-hitters thrown by a combined four pitchers as Leflore routed McCurtain 11-1 and Kinta 10-0.The Savages will be in the Coleman-Calera Invitational, which started Friday night with two games — vs. Soper and co-host Coleman in Coleman. Today, Leflore meets co-host Calera at 10 this morning, followed by a noon game against Pittsburg — both games in Calera.
