Leflore boys get past Howe Lions for win

August 28, 2013

HOWE — A fast start was enough for the Leflore Savages to down the Howe Lions 9-6 Tuesday afternoon at Lions Field.
The Savages jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and had a 6-0 lead in the third.
The Lions scored three runs in the third to cut the deficit in half at 6-3, but they got no closer.
Editor's note: Cameron's road three-way at Oktaha with Dale was canceled, and will likely not be rescheduled.
