Leflore boys' late rally falls short against Kiowa

September 2, 2014

KIOWA — The Leflore Savages baseball team had a rally fall short in losing 6-5 to the Kiowa Cowboys on Aug. 26.
The Cowboys broke a 3-all tie with a three-run fifth inning, but the Savages did not go down without a fight.
Leflore scored twice in the seventh inning and had the game-tying run at third base, but he was stranded there at the end of the game.
Editor's note: Tuesday's Howe-Cameron game and Red Oak-Wister game were rained out, but the Wildcats played at Rattan to make up for Tuesday's originally scheduled game.
