LEFLORE — It was 2-for-2 for LeFlore County basketball teams at the Class B Regional Tournament on Thursday afternoon at the Leflore High School gym.
The homestanding Savages got past the Eagletown Eagles 54-46 right after the Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs routed the Graham (Weleetka) Lady Chieftains 63-35.
Both the Lady Bulldogs (16-10) and the Savages (14-11) will play in regional consolation semifinal games tonight at the Wilburton High School gym. Whitesboro will play Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Savages meeting Stringtown at 8 p.m. Tonight's winners will play for the consolation championship at 1:30 p.m. (girls) and 3 p.m. (boys) on Saturday for the right to make it to next week's Class B Area Tournament in Kingston.
The Whitesboro Bulldogs (19-7) played the Kinta Eagles here Thursday night in the regional tournament. A win would have put the ’Dogs into Saturday night's regional title game against Red Oak at 8 p.m. in Wilburton.
