LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. short on funds for a dept free facility

September 12, 2012

The LeFlore County Youth Services is in need of additional funds to remain debt free in their newly constructed facility.

For the past 39 years, LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. has gathered donations and money from fundraisers in hopes of building a debt free facility that houses the emergency shelter along with administrative offices.
They raised $368,026 and began construction but fell short of the total cost for completion. The organization is now in need of raising the additional $469,024 to avoid paying on the facility for the next 20 years.
"The Community State Bank extended us a $600,000 line of credit and we will be able to move into the new facility," said Director Rick Couri. "But we would like to be debt free and for that we need the communities help."
The organization needs to raise $35,000 before Oct. 1 to be eligible to receive $90,000 in grant money awarded to them.
If you would like to make a tax deductible donation you can mail it to LCYS at P.O. Box 711, Poteau, OK. 74953.
