Local athletes play in 42nd Kiamichi All-Star Classic; Spiro basketball players garner MVP honors

WILBURTON — Several LeFlore County high school athletes played in the 42nd Kiamichi All-Star Classic over Memorial Day weekend at Eastern Oklahoma State College. All four games over the two-day event were won by the South.
In the basketball games that were played May 23 at EOSC's Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse, the South girls got past the North 62-60, while the South boys nipped the North 96-95.
In the slow-pitch softball game played May 24, the South outlasted the North 13-10.
The South then completed the sweep with a 10-3 victory over the North in the baseball game.
