Local author to hold book signing

September 20, 2011

A local woman who took telling bedtime
stories to her children one step further
will be signing her recently published
book at a Poteau business on
Saturday, September 24.
Sandy Ellis, who works as a graphic
designer at GCT Printing Solutions and
has more than twenty years experience in
writing and composing with the Poteau
Daily News, will be signing her book
“The Change in Priscilla” at Price Cutter
in Poteau.
Ellis, who spent many years telling her
children stories, realized that she had a
passion to put them on paper for the
enjoyment of other families. Having
begun writing during her junior high
years at Pansy Kidd Middle School,
Ellis received praise and acknowledgement
by teachers and students alike when
her writings were posted for all to read.
Knowing that her writings brought enjoyment
to others, she began her journalist
endeavors to bring everyday life events
to animated life for children age six and
under.
