Local basketball players make All-Indian All-State Teams

Six LeFlore County high school basketball senior players were named to the Oklahoma Indian All-State Basketball Teams.
Three were named to the first team, Heavener’s Trevor Smith and Leflore’s Caleb Smith were named to the boys team, while Bokoshe’s Miranda McFarland made the girls team.
Talihina’s Tara Hawkins and Bokoshe’s Christina Silva made the second team Indian All-State girls team, while Talihina’s Clark Austin made the boys team.
Smith and Hawkins both signed with Carl Albert State College earlier this year. Hawkins signed to play both basketball and softball for the Lady Vikings.

The LeFlore County All-Star Basketball Games will take place Tuesday night at Carl Albert College’s Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
The girls game will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 8 p.m.
