Local family opens a new track for motor sports enthusiasts

Raceday Park is now open on Sunday's for riders of all ages.

The Tanguay family of Poteau are lovers of dirt tracks and motor sports. So when the opportunity to open Raceday Park east of Poteau to provide a riding experience for local families, they couldn't wait to start.
"It's a passion of ours to give families a place to ride," said Jace Tanguay, owner of RDP. "It has been three years in the making but it is now open."
Jace and his sons Triston, 12, and Trace,19, are all avid riders who compete and ride for fun. His wife Sheila is responsible for coordinating races and events at RDP.
The facility has three tracks at this time with planned future expansion. There is a main track, a pee wee track and a veterans track for riders of different ages and experience levels.
They are open on Sundays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the cost is $10 per rider.
