Lonnie Gene Knight, 81, of Leflore died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in Tulsa.
Lonnie was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Leflore to Thomas Lee and Velma (Kitchens) Knight. He was a builder of semi-trailers. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Vera Sharp.Â
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Sharon Shawsky of Poteau; stepsons, John Clark of Paragould, Ark., Charles Clark of Springtown, Texas, and David Clark of Azle, Texas; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Roy Knight of Bengal, Herbert Knight of Red Oak and Tom Knight of Burleson, Texas; three sisters, Evelyn Cook of Leflore, Carolyn Richey of Irving, Texas, and Mary Lou Cowan of Davis, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the First Baptist Church in Leflore.Â Burial will be in Leflore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lance, Eric, Justin and Roddy Knight and Jesse and Hank Ingle.
