Lonnie L. Pickering

Lonnie L. Pickering, 81, of Bokoshe died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Lonnie was born July 12, 1931, in Cameron to Floyd and Dile (Archey) Pickering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He worked for Felt Mills in Kansas City, Mo. Lonnie attended Calvary Assembly of God in Poteau. 
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Ruth Pickering of Bokoshe, Eric and Terry Pickering of Oklahoma City, Charles and Wanda Pickering and Brian and Sheila Pickering of Wister; seven grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Jerry Lyles of Waldron, Ark., and Betty and Bill Graven of California; one brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Mollie Pickering of Kansas City; and other relatives and loved ones. 
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Lynn Bullard officiating. Burial will be in Fairhill/Knothole Cemetery, Cameron.
The family will be at Evans and Miller Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening to visit with relatives and friends.
