Louis Halcomb, 71, died Jan. 18, 2012 in Booneville, Ark.
Louis was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Spiro to Mason Louis and Mary M. (Atchison) Halcomb. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jean, and one grandchild, Jeanie Owens. Louis served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1959 and was discharged under honorable conditions.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; four daughters, Lulu Massie and husband, Howard, of Spiro, Barbara Guillory of Fort Smith, Ark., Cindi McTyre and husband, Rick, of Mountainburg, Ark., and Alisa Lange and husband, Gary, of Mesa, Ariz.; one son, C.J. Guillory and wife, Ann, of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren, Kyle, Brett, Cody, Cory, Beau, Jeff, Stacy, Jackie, John, Josh, Maigen, and Jacob; 15 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Dash, Kben, Chance, Alanna, Bailey, Braden, Anthony, Amber, Jordan, Jared, Lindsay, Alyssa, Gavin and Jenna; one sister, Mary Ann Cox of Spiro; one brother, Tom Halcomb of Spiro; and two special friends he thought of as a son and grandson, Matt Howard and Trevor Howard.
 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. C.L. Thomas and Rev. Sid Ree officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Phillip LeCompte, Matt Howard, Fuzz Howard, Mark Cox Sr., Mark Cox Jr., Frank Bell, Michael Pettigrew, Kenneth Luker, Jerry Prescott, Ray Votaw and Kelly Harper.
The family will visit with friends and family from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. An online guestbook may be visited at www.mallorymartinfuneralhome.com.
