Luther A. Parham, after 87 years of full life, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Evans-Miller Funeral Home in Pocola.
Luther and his wife Bonita were married for 69 years and raisedÂ 12 children in Poteau. They owned and operated Parham Fruit Stand while supporting the family. They moved to Fort Smith, where he worked at Rheem Manufacturing until he retired. Â
Luther was a proud man, hard worker and dedicated father and husband.Â Â
He is preceded in death by two sons and a brother who died as a child. Â
He is survived by one brother, Dennis Parham of Paris, Ark., his wife, Bonita of Pocola; and 10 of his children: Dale, Iris, Donna, Fred, Mike, Thomas, Retha, Rick, Reba, and Jerry. He has also left behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Â Â â€¨Â â€¨Â â€¨Â â€¨Â â€¨Â â€¨Â â€¨Â
