Make a pledge; take a plunge

Plummeting temperatures promise to perk up participants in the upcoming annual Polar Plunge.
Plungers will take the frigid dip in Poteau on Saturday, Feb. 22. at Martin-Dunn Country Auto Sales parking lot , formerly Brad Fenton's. The Arctic event helps raise money for the Special Olympics Summer and Winter games.
All plungers will be required to collect a "Bear" minimum of $75 in donations to be able to make the jump into freezing water.
Donation sheets along with collected donations will need to be brought to registration beginning at 10 a.m. the day of the event. The first plunge will kick off at 11 a.m.

Spectators are welcome to come out and participate in cheering on their favorite plunger.
