Mansfield woman injured in roll over accident

Stephine Lee Gavelis, 26, of Mansfield, Ark., was treated for minor injuries after her car hit an embankment and rolled over.

A Mansfield, Ark., woman received minor injuries after she lost control of her vehicle and rolled down an embankment.
According to the accident report released by the Poteau Police Department, Stephine Lee Gavelis, 26, was driving a gray 2000 Mercury Cougar north on the Cavanal Scenic Expressway approximately half a mile south of the Walmart exit when Gavelis lost control of her vehicle.
Gavelis' vehicle entered into a broadslide after leaving the road and traveled 80 feet into a ditch. The vehicle struck and embankment and the impact cause the car to roll over and travel 28 feet before coming to rest upright.
Gavelis suffered injuries to her torso, arm and legs. She was taken to Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center by LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services.
