Marianne Head, 42, of Poteau died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Marianne was born Dec. 24, 1969, in Talihina. She was a certified nurse's aide. She married Kevin Ray Head on Jan. 1, 1997, in Armstrong. Marianne was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Atoka and the Shepherd's Heart Pentecostal Church of God of Poteau.
Marianne was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dee Womack; mother, Vivian Marris; father, Timothy Wesley; grandmother, Isabel Williams; grandfather, Reed Williams; aunts, Vera Frazier and Joyce Williams; two nieces, Shelby Lynn Wesley and Tanner Wesley; and uncle, Ottis Wesley.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; children, Kaylin Womack and fiance Jdub Mooers of Poteau, Kyra Womack and Gary Reed of Poteau, Payton Womack of the home, Denira Head of the home, and many others she considered her children; grandchildren, Hailey Rae Wian-Mooers of Poteau, and one on the way; father, Woodrow Marris of Durant; two sisters, Vera Wesley of the home and Shirley White of Oklahoma City; one brother, Tim Wesley and wife Heather Snow of Durant; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Full Gospel Church in Atoka with Rev. Kenneth May officiating. Burial will be in Cane Hill Cemetery under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel White, Daniel Wilson, Calvin Jewell, Jagger Meshaya, Ronald White and Michael Selby. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Williams, Johnny Frazier, Jerry Williams, Larry Hamby and the Class of 1988.
