Mary Alta Holt

Mary Alta Holt, 77, of Poteau, Okla., passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 in Poteau. Mary was born December 31, 1934 in Talihina, Okla., to George N. and Atha Irene (Mahorney) Stoynoff. Mary was a retired telephone operator. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack Holt.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jim Wisinger of Wister, Okla.; son and daughter-in-law, David Glen and Karla Holt of Poteau; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Melba Humphreys and Betty Shoemake of Talihina; two brothers, Charles Stoynoff of Muse, Okla., George “Jigger” Stoynoff Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Alma Williams; numerous other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted at Wednesday February 22, at 2 p.m., at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, with Rev. LeRoy Billy officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
