Mary Elizabeth Brookfelt

Mary Elizabeth Brookfelt, 78, of Wister died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Poteau. Mary was born Feb. 4, 1934, in Wister to Elmer E. and Selma D. (Shelton) Beason. She was a homemaker. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Lee Brookfelt; sister, Geneva Armstrong and Jeanie Williams; brothers, Joe and Jack Beason.
Survivors include her daughter, Selma Shirlene McGhee of Subiaco, Ark.; sons, Kenneth Wayne Brookfelt and Edward Lee Roy Brookfelt of Wister; three grandchildren, Kimberly Anderson of Fort Smith, Ark., Brandi Brookfelt of Arlington, Texas, Sarah Brookfelt of Tulsa; six great grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Desiree, Dakota, Tristan, and Devin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones. 
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Wister City Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Covey officiating.
The family will be at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Sunday to visit with relatives and friends.
