Mary Elizabeth Thompson Bunch

Mary Elizabeth Thompson Bunch, 98, of Keota died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.     
Mary was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Dewar to Mary Marlow Thompson and William Franklin Thompson.
Mary ran a small bus station and grocery store in Keota for six years and was the secretary at Beller Mount Church for 38 years.  She was always busy and never slowed down when she was working for the church. 
Mary also sold Avon in the community, so she knew a lot of people. She was well known and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linton Edward Bunch; her parents, Mary Catherine and William Franklin Thompson; four brothers, Jim Thompson, Leo Thompson, Jeff Thompson and Coy Jennings Thompson; and two sisters, Bertha (Thompson) Atkinson and Maude (Thompson) Dennis.
She is survived by four daughters, Retha Goff of Keota, Gladys and husband Lee Vincent of Spiro, Phyllis and husband Wesley Gorman of Poteau, Shelby and husband Mike Brady of Keota; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Goff, Cheryl Goff Dees, Darryl and Jalinda Vincent, Douglas Gorman, Louwana Gorman and husband Glenn Cutting, Anthony and Alicia Gorman, Joseph and Michele (Brady) Delawder, and Michael and Becky (Brady) Wolf; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with Mary’s nephew, Howard Thompson from Virginia, officiating. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be George Vincent, Jarrod Vincent, Linton Douglas Gorman, Nicholas Goff, Anthony Gorman II, Jason Vincent, and Aaron Gorman.
