The Dakota McCoy Memorial Scholarship Bass Tournament will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Wards Landing on Wister Lake. The entry fee is $40 per angler. The top three placers will receive a cash payout, and they will have a “Ram Beast of the Week” big bass sponsored by Martin-Dunn Dodge.
There will be a cookout sponsored by PriceCutter, with The Community State Bank “Pit Master” Michael Bailey cooking the food, after the tournament concludes. There will also be drawings for various prizes.
Dakota McCoy was a Howe Lions baseball player who was killed last spring in an automobile accident. He helped coach a little league team in Poteau. He was a great kid who loved to help others.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and our veterans.
Have a great weekend.
