Mixed emotions for new Panama coach facing his former Gore team

September 14, 2011

Last year at this time, Brandon Ellis was getting his Gore Pirates ready to face the Panama Razorbacks at George Ollie Stadium in the non-district finale. This year, it's a 180-degree turn for Ellis.
Ellis, Panama's new football coach, will face his former team at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Gore.
“I'm excited,” Ellis said. “I'm fired up, and the kids are fired up for me. They know important it is to win — not only for them, but for me, also.”
