ARKOMA — Thanks to a strong second half, the Arkoma Lady Mustangs ended the regular season in fine fashion with a 64-48 win over the Wister Lady Wildcats Monday night at the Arkoma Gym.
Down 23-20 at halftime, the Lady Mustangs opened the second half with an 8-0 run to take a 28-23 lead.
The Lady Wildcats cut the deficit to two points on two occasions, the last time at 45-43 with about four minutes left in the third quarter. But that was as close as Wister got.
Arkoma went on a 15-0 run to take a 58-43 lead with 2:28 remaining in the period.
Panama 48, Cameron 26: In Panama, the Lady Razorbacks jumped out to a 9-3 lead after one period and slowly pulled away from the Lady Yellowjackets from there.
Bokoshe 37, McCurtain 35: In Bokoshe, the Lady Tigers rallied from a 14-9 first-quarter deficit to get the win. Bokoshe outscored McCurtain 28-21 over the final three periods to get the come-from-behind victory.
Stigler 43, Heavener 33: In Stigler, after jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Lady Wolves suffered a bout of cold shooting. The Lady Panthers, who are coached by last year's Heavener girls' coach, Jeff Walker, outscored the Lady Wolves 11-4 the rest of the opening period for an 11-7 lead. Then, Stigler outscored Heavener 10-2 in the second quarter for a 21-9 halftime lead.
Wilburton 56, Heavener 28: Friday night in Wilburton, the Lady Diggers jumped out to a 17-6 lead after one period and never lost the advantage.
