The Poteau Pirates ended the regular season in style with a 10-2, run-rule victory over the Spiro Bulldogs Monday afternoon at Town Creek Park.
The Pirates took a 1-0 lead in the opening inning on a solo home run by Blake Roley, his seventh homer of the season.
Colton Harper's RBI double highlighted a two-run second inning for the Bulldogs, who took a 2-1 lead after two innings.
However, the Pirates stormed back in the third inning with a seven-run outburst, which was highlighted by Roley's RBI double, as Poteau took an 8-2 lead after three innings.
A two-run fourth inning put the game into run-rule status.
Panama 10, Heavener 2: In Panama, trailing 2-0 in the first inning, the Razorbacks rallied to grab a 7-2 lead by the third inning.
A two-RBI double by Isaac Burris highlighted a three-run fifth inning to end the game by run rule.
Brice Smith got the win for the Hogs.
No highlights for the Wolves were available at press time.
Pocola 6, Wilburton 5: In Wilburton, the Indians broke a scoreless tie with a pair of runs in each of the second and third innings for a 4-0 lead.
After Pocola scored twice in the fifth for a 6-0 advantage, the Diggers scored five runs in the sixth inning to cut the deficit to 6-5. However, that was as close as Wilburton got.
Hartshorne 8, Talihina 0: In Hartshorne, the Golden Tigers were one-hit, that hit by Andrew Young.
