HOWE — The Howe Lions baseball team will take some momentum into this week's Class A District Tournament at Wister after the Lions blanked the McCurtain Bulldogs 8-0 Monday afternoon at Lions Field.
The Lions broke a scoreless tie with a pair of four-run innings in the fifth and sixth innings to end the game by run rule.
Wister 7, Crowder 2: In Crowder, the Wildcats broke a 2-all tie with a two-run third inning and a three-run seventh inning.
Smithville 12, Whitesboro 2: In Whitesboro, the Braves jumped out to a 3-0 lead, which became an 8-0 lead by the second inning and a 12-0 advantage by the third inning.
