WISTER — The Wister Wildcats took out their frustration in losing to Dale in the title game of the Tournament of Champions Saturday afternoon at El Reno's Redlands Community College on the Howe Lions.
The ‘Cats swept a pair of games from the Lions by scores of 23-0 in a three-inning, run-rule game, followed by an 11-1 five-inning, run-rule contest.
Cameron 6, Whitesboro 1; Cameron 12, Okay 3; Whitesboro 6, Okay 5: In Cameron, the Yellowjackets (8-3) ran their winning streak to five games with their two wins in Monday's home three-way.
In Whitesboro's win over Okay, the ’Dogs (2-6) used a fifth-inning rally to win the game. RBI doubles by Nick Wallen and Jerry Preston tied the game at 5-5, then Hinchee's RBI grounder scored Preston with the game-winning run.
Editor's Note — Leflore's game at Eagletown did not take place Monday. No make-up date has been set.
