SPIRO — The Spiro Bulldogs stayed perfect on the young season with a 12-2 five-inning, run-rule victory over the Sallisaw-Central Tigers Monday afternoon.
The ’Dogs, who trailed 1-0 in the opening inning, scored five runs in the second inning, three in the third inning and four runs in the fourth inning to win going away.
Vian 7, Cameron 3: In Vian, the Wolverines scored three runs in the first inning, once in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning for a 6-0 lead.
The Yellowjackets scored all three of their runs in the sixth inning on an RBI fielder's choice by Kenny Whitehead, an RBI grounder by Chris Pearson and an RBI single by Samuel Humphries.
Editor's Note — Pocola's game with Roland was canceled due to wet fields as was Heavener's game at Smithville. They will likely not be rescheduled.
