February 18, 2014

MULDROW — Although the postseason doesn't start until the end of the week, it was a playoff atmosphere here Monday night as it was a battle of Lady Bulldogs to determine the winner of the NOAA Conference for this season. The good news was the LeFlore County female canines brought home the title.
Spiro senior Sarika Willis hit four free throws in the final 40 seconds to help the local Lady Bulldogs beat Muldrow's Lady Bulldogs 53-50. Both teams finished the season at 8-2 in conference play, but Spiro swept the season series from Muldrow to win the tie-breaker and the conference title.
Trailing 11-7 after a period, Spiro outscored Muldrow 46-39 over the final three quarters to get the come-from-behind win and the conference crown.
Howe 65, Pocola 47: In Pocola, the Lady Lions, leading 12-8 after a period, outscored the Lady Indians 24-10 in the second quarter to take a 36-18 halftime lead.
Wilburton 52, Panama 50, OT: In Wilburton, the Lady Diggers outscored the Lady Razorbacks 10-8 in overtime to get the win.
The Lady ’Backs forced overtime by outscoring the Lady Diggers 10-6 in the final period to tie the game at 42.
