Monday's High School Girls Basketball Roundup

McCURTAIN — Despite a slow start, the Leflore Lady Savages were able to hang on for a 53-50 road win over the McCurtain Lady Bulldogs on Monday night.
Trailing 13-4 after a period, the Lady Savages outscored the Lady Bulldogs 18-4 in the second quarter for a 22-17 halftime lead.
After McCurtain regained the lead at 34-33 at the end of the third quarter, Leflore outscored the hosts 20-16 in the final period to get the come-from-behind road win.
The Lady Savages will meet Cave Springs at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Eastern Oklahoma State College Classic at the Wilburton High School Gym, with the winner playing at 7:10 p.m. Friday at the same site for the Gold Bracket consolation championship.
Quinton 56, Cameron 45: In Cameron, the Lady Yellowjackets (2-6) had a 24-23 halftime lead, but the Lady Savages outscored them 15-9 in the third quarter to take a 38-33 lead into the final period. In the fourth quarter, Quinton outscored Cameron 18-12 to seal the deal.
Editor's note: Arkoma's road game at Porum did not take place. It has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 3. Also, Heavener's title game in the Gary Ford Invitational will take place at 7 tonight in Hartford, Ark., as it was rescheduled from Saturday afternoon due to ACT testing conflicts.
