SPIRO — The Poteau Lady Pirates could not be in any better shape as they enter this weekend's Broken Arrow Tournament. They are undefeated.
The Lady Pirates shut out both host Spiro (5-0) and Pocola (8-0) in a three-way Monday afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs won the Highway 9 battle with the Lady Indians by a score of 8-0.
Panama 4, Talihina 0: In Panama, Panama senior pitcher Taylor Eaves threw her second no-hitter of the season as she fanned 14 Talihina batters.
Editor's Note — Nothing was reported on Monday's Heavener home three-way with Gans and Smithville by press time. Look for details about those games along with Tuesday's other high school games in Thursday's edition.
