SALLISAW — Poteau senior pitcher RaeLynn Caldwell picked up right where she left off after last week's LeFlore County Tournament.
After allowing one run and striking out 45 batters in four games in the county tournament, Caldwell threw a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts as the Lady Pirates blanked the Sallisaw Lady Black Diamonds 4-0 Monday afternoon. Caldwell ran her record to 21-7 with the win.
Cameron 9, Whitesboro 4: In Whitesboro, the Lady Yellowjackets, who trailed 4-2 after two innings, scored once in the third inning, five runs in the fourth inning and another run in the fifth to get the come-from-behind victory.
Heavener 4, Idabel 3; Muldrow 6, Heavener 1: In Heavener, the Lady Wolves split their games in Monday's home three-way.
In the win over Idabel, the Lady Wolves used a three-run fourth inning, highlighted by Makayla Cheek's two-RBI double, to break a 1-all tie.
Jodie Hill was 1-for-2 with a solo home run in the first inning.
In the loss to Muldrow, the Lady Bulldogs had three two-run innings in the first, third and fifth innings.
Red Oak 9, Talihina 1: In Red Oak, nothing more was reported. The loss dropped the Lady Golden Tigers to 6-12.
