The Poteau Lady Pirates began the week in fine fashion with a 9-1 home victory over the Wister Lady Wildcats on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates jumped out to a 2-0 lead, before the Lady Wildcats cut the deficit in half in the third inning.
However, Poteau scored in four straight innings, once in the third, three runs in the fourth, twice in the fifth and a run in the sixth to put the game into run-rule status.
Red Oak 18, Heavener 17: In Red Oak, the Lady Eagles scored four runs in the seventh inning to get the come-from-behind win to outlast the Lady Wolves, who had taken a 17-14 lead with three runs in top of the inning to break a 14-all tie.
