RED OAK — While it was chilly outside on Monday, the Poteau bats were hot as the Lady Pirates split their two games at Red Oak, routing the Fort Gibson Lady Tigers 26-6 but being outlasted 16-12 by the host Lady Eagles.
Panama 4, Keota 1: In Keota, the Lady Razorbacks got back on the winning track, thanks to a three-run fourth inning to break a scoreless tie.
Kendra Swindle's solo home run in the sixth inning made it 4-0.
Editor's note — The Howe-Sallisaw-Gans three-game festival on Monday was postponed due to wet fields. No make-up date has been set. Also, the LeFlore County Tournament seeding meeting will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Western Sizzlin.
