Monday's High School Softball Roundup

March 14, 2012

MUSKOGEE — The Poteau Lady Pirates suffered their first two losses of the young slow-pitch softball season on Monday. The host Lady Roughers run ruled the Lady Pirates 16-2, then Poteau lost 10-1 to Broken Arrow.
Heavener 8, McCurtain 6; Red Oak 9, Heavener 2: In McCurtain, the Lady Wolves split their games on Monday.
A five-run third inning helped propel the Lady Wolves to the win over the host Lady Bulldogs.
In the loss to Red Oak, the Lady Wolves could only score single runs in the first and second innings.
Editor's Note — Pocola's home three-way with Roland and Wilburton was canceled due to wet fields. The game will likely not be rescheduled.
