Monroe boys, Heavener girls win county titles

The Monroe Eagles and the Heavener Lady Wolves captured titles in the 2014 LeFlore County Junoir High Tournament on Saturday night at Carl Albert State College's Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
The Eagles, who earlier this season lost by six points to Heavener, beat the top-seeded Wolves 38-30 in Saturday night's championship.
The Lady Wolves, who were the tournament's top seed, fell behind 7-1 midway through the opening period of Saturday night's title game against Pansy Kidd Middle School, but ended up beating the Lady Raiders going away by a score of 37-19.
