More area youths in the spotlight

October 31, 2013

Muzzle loading season is in full swing, and I only have hunted one evening so far. Paula and I went to our friend’s house in Greers Ferry, Ark., for the weekend, so I did not get to hunt. We had a heck of a time four-wheeling in the mountains there, and it was definitely well worth the trip.
However, I have to admit I did get to go out one evening earlier this week and saw a deer but did not get a shot. While I was in the woods, I came across Jamie Rice and his son, Kaiden. They asked me to help search for Kaiden’s doe. I scouted around for about an hour or so before it got to dark, and we had to give up. I hope that he gets another shot at a deer in the near future.
Have a great week!
