Like Mother, Like Daughter

Christie Hall Hillebrand, left, was the Most Valuable Player her senior year for the Howe Lady Lions when they defeated the Talihina Lady Golden Tigers in the 1989 LeFlore County Tournament title game. Nearly a quarter of a century later, her daughter, Brianna Hillebrand, was County Tournament MVP in her senior season after Howe defeated Talihina in this season's championship game.
